The Story
Real Estate Was Always the Plan
Mya Patkovic was born in former Yugoslavia — present-day Bosnia — and came to the United States carrying the values her upbringing gave her: resilience, hard work, and a genuine desire to serve others. She started her professional life in real estate, working for an escrow company before the 2008 market crash changed everything.
"I always wanted to get my license and do real estate. I finally pulled the trigger in 2020 — and I haven't looked back."
After the crash, Mya went to college, earned her degree in Human Resources, and spent 11 years in corporate HR at Fortune 500 companies. She chose HR for the same reason she chose real estate — she has always had a heart for service, for standing up for people, for being in their corner when it matters most. In 2020, she finally came home to the work she was always meant to do.
